Each morning as I raise the blinds, this is the view that greets me out our west windows. I don't know who lives there and never see any signs of live, but I do know at one time they had two beautiful large dogs that would like to come by for a visit.
This afternoon after church, the sun was already making its way down in the western sky and the light and shadow on our perennial bed caught my eye. It looks pretty lifeless yet right now. It's so hard to believe that in a couple of months there will be little green heads poking their way out of an often still frozen ground.
Signs of life? Maybe not, but soon -- very soon!
Because we remember moments, not days...
