A Successful Geocaching Afternoon| Sarnia/ Lambton County Photographers

After a bit of deliberation about what to do on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, it was decided we would go geocaching. However, we had a destination in mind. On one of the roads we frequent, are two abandoned houses in a row. I imagine they were both beautiful in their time, but I have always especially loved the one and have often imagined what it might have looked like inside when it was still a home.

Although much smaller, the one next door to this beauty was charming in its day too, sadly, the porch is gone and it has lost much of its curb appeal because of that. Notice the date in the peak says 1899. This house is over 200 years old!!

I love the tree growing out of the silo! I was very happy to finally capture this bit of history on my camera.

Initially, we thought this place was abandoned too. It is empty, but upon closer inspection, you will see that it has a new roof, new doors, and new windows. I love the two chimneys, and it looks lovely from the front, but check out the back.

Well, if that isn't just a little strange!

Finding the beauty in everyday....
