He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows. Isaiah 30:23
I can't get enough of sunrises and sunsets. They're so incredibly beautiful! You'd think after all the photos I've taken of them they would start to look the same, but each time God paints the sky differently. After all He is the Master Creator.
Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before. Joel 2:23
Living where we do, we are blessed to witness some events that land locked cities never do. The fact that I am homeschooling our children also proves advantageous on occasion. Today was one of those occasions. The children and I set out bright and early to watch the HMCS Ville de Quebéc pass through. In memory of 9/11 and all those who lay their lives on the line daily so we can go about our busy lives, there was also a short memorial service. It was touching and something the kids will remember for many years to come. Of course the gun salute, the sheer size of the boat, and the size of the crew will not be forgotten quickly either. I was once again reminded of how blessed I am to live in North America and of how often and how much I just take life for granted.
We were thrilled to arrive at the beach this evening to discover that a regatta was going on! We stayed until well after the sun had set to watch the boats come in.
