365/09 Day 120

The Sony @100 whose portrait was taken by the Sony @350. The @100 is our original DSLR.

365/09 The Missed Days.

April has been a very busy month around here. Not so much in the photography department, but in the life department. I completely missed getting a photo on days 105, 106, 108, and 110. So, yesterday, I did a wander around the house and yard trying to come up with four interesting and different shots. How many flower shots can I do anyways? You'd be surprised!

Photography may be my passion, but some other creative pursuits run a close second. I took my box of sewing thread outside and "posed" some of them on the porch railing for fun. An even cooler shot would have been tossing them in the air and watching them unravel, but I wasn't too keen on cleaning them up again.

Surprise, surprise, another flower photo!

The view of the world from an ant.

Not flowers -- yet. I can't begin to describe the scent that these buds hold even though they're tightly closed.

365/09 Day 118

My SIL and I were co-counselors for our church's girls club. We led the grade five group. Tonight was our last meeting fot the year. Our group of twelve girls won the best group award for our enthusiasm, and activities within our group and in the community. It was a very good inaguration for me into this fun group. I am already looking forward to next year.

365/09 Day 110

Enjoying the Rocking Chair.

My best friend has her own brand new portrait studio! She needed a chair for posing little ones in, so that they don't fall over or get away so quickly :0). I saw this one at a children's sale, happened to be near a phone, and gave her a call. I scooped it up immediately. Before she came to pick it up, my little one enjoyed quite a bit of time sitting in it looking at books.

365/09 Day 99

American Robin.

Birds are fun and amazing creatures. One of my favorites is the American robin. They are such spry and silly creatures. I managed to snap two photos of this fellow before he flew away.

In the first photo, I quite accidentally caught his reflection in the bevelled glass of the window. As I snapped my second try, he hopped up to fly away. Thus, the funny mid-air pose.
